A friend is truly a present we give ourselves! I love this quote from Robert Louis Stevenson!

I took this photo of two girls while we were on an out of town shoot. I had so much fun watching them play together. They were playing on top of a wooden platform. I processed this in blend and gradient modes in Photoshop.

Plutarch is so wise. His quote should be taken to heart by everyone especially the teachers. If every teacher kindles the mind of every student, then we will have a whole bunch of creative people.

Friendship gives value to survival

This quote from C.S.Lewis is like a tricky answer to a simple question. It makes you sit up, then you realize it is so true! Friendship does give value to survival! Actually, not just to survival, but also to having an enriched life.

I like this quote from Albert Camus. It tells me that as friends, we are co-equal. Nobody really leads, nobody follows.

God's love is awesome

This verse from John always gives me goosebumps! I am totally in awe of God's love! How can we not love Him in return?

A simple smile

Oh yes, a simple smile can really do a lot! For one, a smile is really so contagious. Once we smile at somebody, chances are that somebody will also return that smile. It's the simplest thing we give to somebody to bring some happiness.

I used this photo of my smiley grandson as background for this quote from Mother Teresa. This is a mixed media project and I love how it turned out.

Leadership

I like the way Cardinal Rosales explained what leadership is. He said this in relation to servant leadership or leadership in church ministry. However, I think it applies even to leadership in any situation, don't you agree?

Artist, Amateur

I find this quote so inspiring and motivating. Yes, we all start as amateurs. I still consider myself as an amateur because I feel that I still have so much to learn. Thanks Ralph Waldo Emerson! You are so good for my ego!

This quote from Christoper Reeve is so positive and so powerful! I love the way it tugs at my heart and awakens my creativity!

I coupled this quote with my photo of a fern leaflet emerging from the sea of green. I think they go well together. Don't you think so?

Gratitude

I believe that gratitude makes us reach out to other people and to God.
Gratitude makes us count our blessings and focus on what is good and positive about our life. There is really so much that we can be thankful for. Thus, I like how Henry Ward Beecher expressed what gratitude is.

What Love Is

I love how Saint Augustine explained what love is! I strongly believe that when we love we connect with our soul.

The photo is that of a rose wherein I added layers to give it a dreamy effect. I think the photo and the quote belong together.

Shape the Quality of Your Life

This quote from Anthony Robbins is a good reminder for us to take a more proactive stance on our life. Truly we can rise above any condition we find ourselves in if we decide that we do not want to remain where we are. It really all depends on what decisions we make. Of course we must also not forget to pray.

The photo that I used here is that of an ant exploring a white flower. That the ant is exploring is already an indication that it is looking for better things. For food most likely.

Imagination and life's coming attractions

Albert Einstein really said this so well about imagination. The power of our imagination can indeed show us and take us to wherever we want to go or whatever we want to achieve! So go ahead, let your imagination get a preview of "life's coming attractions."

This photo of a flower bud holds so much promise, the coming attraction. That's why I partnered this and the quote.

Fear Not

"Fear not for I am with you...." I find these words from Isaiah 41:10 so comforting. Knowing that God is always with us makes me able to go through every difficulty that I encounter. The rest of the words in the verse are even more reassuring. So how can we not go on if we have God telling us "...I will strengthen you, I will help you...." Wow! This is really so inspiring!

The photo that I used here is that of two newly hatched birdies that we found in our garden. They were crying out for their mommie! I think that they also need the reassurance of the same verse from Isaiah. That's why I put the photo and verse together.

True Happiness

I like this quote from Joseph Addison about "true happiness". I believe that we actually have to be the one to create our own happiness. It should not be dependent on somebody else because if that somebody will fail us, then how can we make ourselves happy? If however we are the ones making our own happiness, then we can make changes with ourselves so that we will be happy.

Our Hearts

This is another maxim from Blessed Maria Domenica that I have converted into a photoquote.

As I mentioned in a previous post, Blessed MD wrote maxims for everyday of the year. They are really so inspirational not only for the Camillian Sisters but for everybody.
