thank the Lord for the light

Knowing ourselves makes us able to determine our purpose here on earth. As Blessed Maria Domenica says, we have to thank the Lord for this light he gives us.

Blessed Maria Domenica's maxim which she wrote for the Camillian Sisters is also true for all of us. We really must learn to put our trust in the Lord and just in ourselves.

This maxim from Blessed Maria Domenica makes me feel at peace and calm. I like the terms that she used "calmness of spirit and tranquility of the heart."

pray with all your heart

This maxim from Blessed Maria Domenica is really meant for the sisters in her congregation. However, I think that it can also apply to us. We really need to pray all the time even if only for a little bit as long as we take it to heart.

Here is another maxim from Blessed Maria Dominica. I am really in awe of this blessed woman. She was not only a prolific writer but also a charismatic leader of her congregation.

Remain tranquil

In the world that we are in now, it's rather hard to remain tranquil. But as Blessed Maria Domenica tells us, it's possible as long as we trust in Jesus.

Confidence in God

This is another maxim from Blessed Maria Domenica. I have posted before several maxims from her: Presence of God, Good Resolutions, Eternal Life, Our Hearts,and Trust in God. She wrote these maxims as guide and inspiration for the Camillian Sisters but as we can see, they can also guide and inspire all of us.

Presence of God

When we pray with others in a gathering, the prayer leader usually exhorts us to: "put ourselves in the presence of God." I think this maxim from Blessed Maria Domenica says the same thing, but not only for the moment, but throughout the day.
