Happy Father's Day

To celebrate Father's Day, I am sharing this card that I made. The scene is a typical day in my favorite island, Boracay.

On a clear day, you will see several of this sailboat in the waters of Boracay. It's fun to ride one and join an island tour.

My dad went to heaven several years ago. I still miss him though, especially during Father's Day.

I find this quote from Ritu Ghatourey as a very timely reminder about how we spend our time. We really must take sometime to just simply "...listen to our heart, mind and body...," as they might be telling us something else. Often times, we just simply talk to our mind and rarely listen to our heart, soul, and body.

Albert Einstein is not only a great scientist, he also has a wonderful grasp on life and human behavior.

This man was riding a bicycle along the beach in Boracay, my favorite island here in the Philippines. I could not help but take a shot as I find it rather unusual - a bike along the beach. 

Perfect miracle

I fully agree with Walt Whitman in his quote. Every day is really a miracle, and every hour that we are alive is even more of a miracle! So we really have a lot to be thankful for!

Amazing day

I love how e.e.cummings expressed this simple gratitude for an amazing day! We really have a lot to be thankful for. We only need to look around outside and also inside of ourselves.

Prayer is a longing of the soul

I love how Mahatma Gandhi described prayer. Every time I see a sunset or a beautiful creation of God, I always say a prayer of thanks and I feel that Gandhi is right about the prayer being "a longing of the soul."

Priceless lesson

I find this quote about lessons so true. We really can learn something from everyone we encounter, be they the vendor on the street, your seatmate on the bus or your professor in the classroom. We simply have to learn to pay attention because if we don't, we might miss the lesson.

I found these slippers half buried on the sand of Boracay and I could not resist taking a shot. The owners must have gone for a swim and made sure that their slippers will not be easily washed off by the waves.

Blueprints of achievements

It's unfortunate that the author of this inspiring quote is unknown. I so love how he/she talked about our dreams and visions as the "blueprints of our ultimate achievements".

Whispers of Truth

I like the way K.T.Jong talk about our need for silence in our life. Telling us that we will hear "the whispers of truth that life reveals to us" is so motivational. It motivates me to devote more time to silence,  so I can hear the "whispers of truth".

Imagination and worlds that never were

Our imagination is really so powerful. As Carl Sagan said, "imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were." We simply have to make use of it then so we can go anywhere we want.
