Life is simple

Well, all I can say to this quote from Confucius is "amen!" We are really the ones that make life complicated.

Simplicity is really powerful, be it in ones lifestyle, thinking, and even in composition of an art work. As Rainer Maria Rilke said, simple things can "...become great and immeasurable."

I love this solitary raindrop photo because of it's powerful effect on the viewer. I think it is the perfect background for this quote from Rilke.

Simplicity and Art

I love this quote from Walt Whitman about art. I tend to agree with this as I usually find that I am most attracted to art that is simple. Thus I love using negative space and minimalism in my photography as exemplified in the photo I used for this quote.
