do good to others

This quote from Marcus Aurelius tells good is a natural thing, as natural as bees making honey of vines bearing grapes. So why don't we do good to others then?

The photo is a bee doing its rounds of flowers in my garden.

the quality of bees

Leo Tolstoy has a nice way of reminding us how to approach people. I actually approach bees with caution because I am allergic to their sting, but approaching people in the same manner might also be a good idea. Of course, as Leo Tolstoy reminded us, it must be with love.

The photo is a bee feeding on the flower of Euphorbia milii.

Excellence is a habit

"Excellence is a habit"! Wow, I like what Aristotle said here about "excellence". This means that all of us are capable of developing excellence in anything that we focus on and repeatedly do. Isn't that something?

The photo is that of a busy bee on a yellow alder flower.

A large print for this photoquote is available in my RedBubble site. Here is the link: http://www.redbubble.com/people/lensbaby/works/10432594-excellence-is-a-habit?ref=work_main_nav
